A review of Rob Benwell’s Blogging to the bank version 3

A friend of mine who I work with got blogging to the bank version 3 from Rob Benwell, and said it was great.  AS I am into money making bits and bobs he let me read his copy - actually to be honest I kind of requested he let me ;-)

Anyhow, Ive just read all 58 pages of it, and am impressed.

There is no fluff in it, and Rob actually dives right into the content from page 1, delivering a great step by step blueprint, that actually makes you WANT to get up and give it a go - which isn’t a bad thing.  As I write this I am actually thinking hard about this -multiple blogs, automated, outsourced(eventually) all makign money - sounds interesting - and if he can make over $90K a month from it, at the age of 24 then I am listening!

I’m going to give it a go myself and see what happens.

If you’d like to take a look then I strongly suggest you grab a cheap copy (you can always click cancel, and you’ll get a popup window which saves you money on the main price - ;-) )  - and take a look - it won’t actually break the bank, for once, you get a good ebook at a cheap enough price to get into.

What do you do when things go wrong…

When things go wrong, life hits you when you are down.

12 months ago I was working full time at home earning a very good income, and then a hacker got to me, and things snowballed.

I’m bouncing back, in upswings and downswings, currently I’m in a downswing and everything is going wrong.

Things are going wrong in the kitchen - it’s old and  the drawers are failing.

My laptop failed this week, and at the same time my flatscreen monitor on my desktop pc failed me too.

Coincidence, or just Murphy’s law?

I had an immense tape on Murphys law, cant find it right now, but if  ever I do Im gonna get it back on and loaded up, coz its one thing that helped me out.

So, even though right now, Ive got at least 6-12 “internet properties” out there , it just aint happening at the moment.

I’m looking and not sure which way to turn.

Still, I won’t give up.

I cant

They can knock me down but I will always get back up.. somehow…  even if it takes a while.

Advertisers - if you know what’s good for you.. reach for the coffee..(????)

Yep, we all want to be incredibly rich, financially free, living life with no hassles, no money worries, time to do anything we want whenever we want.

We all want that.

So it stands to reason that we should all get that right?

Well…. if you really really want it… but sadly, the humble and honest truth is that you just don’t have enough time in life to try hundreds and hundreds of things until you hit across something that works.

Therefore it’s wise to follow a set path. A path trodden by many weary feet before you, but at least a path that does end in success, and in a reasonable time too!

So, you cannot just learn stuff in one night and hope to be earning $1000 a month a week later.

Get real.

With most things in life you need to invoke a form of SELLING… whether you are selling yourself or a product.

www.meyie.com is a resource which will let you test advertising for pennies, and with fast response times too.

If a campaign works, then roll it out big time to the thousands of members there.

If it sucks, change the headline, try to grab the persons interest.

tweak and test, tweak and test.

We all know it but hardly any of us DO it!

So, if then that is the answer then the question must be “how ?”…..

Many ways…

Google analytics is free - just google it, and install the code on your page.  This brings you a heap of data you can use.

Or use a free url tracking link, such as urlaudit.com.

What you need to do is find a traffic source, and run on it for a period of time - which can be anything, something you can measure - whether 10,000 clicks, 10,000 impressions, or a timeframe such as 1 week or 1 month.

See how many people clicked your link.

If 50 people clicked out of 10,000 then you use your calculator. Put into it: 50, then press the divide button, then put in 10000. Then press the multiply button (X) and enter 100

This will give you 50/10,000 x 100 = 0.5% clickthru rate

That is your first “stat” for this project.

Now what you do is run 2 campaigns, each one for the same length, say 10,000 clicks.

Campaign 1 is the same and campaign 2 changes a bit - try to add a free gift if they click that link(or sign up to your newsletter) whereas the first campaign is just “sign up now”

When people say its all about testing this is SO TRUE!

You should also keep records of all headlines attempted or ideas tried, so you don’t do them again in error!

When you are ready head on over to http://www.meyie.com and submit an ad.

I own meyie and am passionate about it, so naturally I want to make sure your experience there is brilliant.

When you eventually make a sale (or get a desired result that you are looking for) you can work out your rate of success.

Imagine it takes 30,000 clicks to get 100 newsletter subscribers, but for ever 100 newsletter subscribers one of them will buy a widget or ebook from you.

This is 1 in 30,000

Imagine your profit from this sale is $67.

This means you really need to keep your costs of getting the 30,000 clicks WAAAAY below $67 to make it worthwhile - ideally $25 or less.

Now imagine if you were promoting a product which, when sold, gave you a monthly commission…

Lets say each sale is worth $100 a month to you.

20 sales = $2000 a month - nice enough for now?

So, would you pay $5000 for $2000 a month?  You bet!  So it all depends on what you are promoting.

Thanks!

Shaun

Whichever one performs the best KEEP and whichever one performs worse DITCH.

You can keep on doing this to gradually increase your clickthrough rates
